Companion Score is an independent ratings publication for AI companion apps. The site is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It may discuss adult products in a factual, non-explicit way, but the publication itself is SafeSearch-friendly and not intended for children.

what data we collect

We aim to collect as little personal data as reasonably possible.

Affiliate relationships do not decide our scores. Our reviews and rankings are based on the published Companion Score method, including Conversation, Realism, Value and Privacy. You can read more on our disclosure page and how we test.

We may use trusted third-party services to run the site, measure performance and manage affiliate tracking.

Analytics data in Google Analytics 4 is retained according to our GA4 configuration (by default, up to 14 months). Server and affiliate-tracking logs are kept only as long as needed for reporting, fraud prevention and commission reconciliation.

international transfers

Some third-party providers may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, appropriate safeguards should be in place, such as UK-approved transfer mechanisms or equivalent contractual protections.

Google (Analytics) and Vercel may process data outside the UK, including in the United States, under UK-approved transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, as described in their data processing terms.

If UK GDPR applies to your data, you may have the right to:

age restriction and children's data

Companion Score is intended for adults aged 18 and over.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact info@companionscore.com and we will take appropriate steps to review and delete it where required.

This site reviews products that may include adult features. It is not aimed at children or minors.

links to other websites

Companion Score links to third-party websites, including AI companion apps, affiliate partners and reference sources.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content or security of those websites. Before creating an account, paying for a subscription or sharing personal information with any app, read that service's own privacy policy.
